UltraCast® is a light bandage of fiberglass substrate impregnated with polyurethane resin, which is water activated. Optionally supplied in various colors.

THE PRODUCT:
  UltraCast® casting tape is made of knitted fiberglass substrate, soaked with polyurethane resin which has very low tack exotherm. It will set in approximately 5 minutes and be weight bearing in 20 minutes.
 
UltraCast® is strong and light weight.
UltraCast® has excellent mouldability, flexibility for patient comfort, clean end finishing, easy and simple to use.
UltraCast® has excellent X-ray transparent.
Water resistant after setting.
Allows skin to breath and helps prevent odor and skin irritation.

PACKING
UltraCast® tapes are sealed in airtight foil pouches, in long storage, and guarantees soft release of rolls in use. Various Colors are available.


 USES:

 UltraCast® casting tape is intend for immobilizations of fracture sprains & strains, following bone and joint operations, and for the treatment of bone and joint diseases.
 

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

1. Before applying UltraCast® it is recommended to apply an under cast protection.

2. Gloves should be worn when handling synthetic tapes.

3. Immerse UltraCast® in water at 20-24 Cº for 1-2 seconds.

4. Desired area should be wrapped with the tape, and should not be applied tightly.

5. The tape should be applied in a spiral turns, each new layer covers half the underlying layer.

6. Moulding and forming should be done at this time.

-Setting time is 3-5 minutes approximately.


-- Achieved functional strength will be in 25-30 minutes.
